AVI-SPL has hired Vince Deur as the education market manager for the AV integrator's Detroit office. Deur will specialize in the K-12 education market in western Michigan, with special emphasis on Smart Technology products.
"Vince brings a wealth of experience working closely with Michigan school districts," said Alan White, sales manager at AVI-SPL's Detroit location, in a statement. "We are excited about his talents and enthusiasm. Vince will be a wonderful asset to our education team."
Before joining AVI-SPL, Deur was owner/producer of Vince Deur Productions, through which he had more than nine years of sales, educational AV consulting, and production experience. Prior to starting his own business, Deur spent eight years with Grand Haven Area Public Schools as television station manager/coordinator and as a high school media instructor.
Deur said in a statement, "I am very excited to be part of the AVI-SPL team and look forward to working with school districts in Michigan to bring innovative new AV products to the classroom."
