Portable PA system

SLS Loudspeakers has introduced the 8290 multipurpose portable PA box for use in multimedia installations, and house and stage monitoring applications. The system incorporates a full-range, passive dual 8-inch design, with a multi-angled cabinet. Near field reference monitors

Tannoy Precision has released the Precision 6iDP and 8iDP three-way, semi-active near field reference monitors with the company's Interactive Digital Programming technology. The Precision iDP models incorporate built-in EQ capability and loudspeaker positioning compensation. The company's WideBand technology extends high-frequency response to more than 50 kHz for wide bandwidth digital recording formats. Chassis connectors

Neutrik's DLX chassis connectors feature compact all-metal housing, RF protection, and electromagnetic shielding. Duplex ground contact provides contact integrity between chassis and cable connectors, according to the company. The line also includes a male connector with a metal retention bar. The connectors are available in 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, and 7-pole configurations with gold or silver plated solder contacts and nickel or black metal housing. Price: $3.04 to $7.57. Condenser microphone

The MXL.006 USB/cardioid condenser microphone from MXL Microphones features a gold diaphragm, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, and a pressure-gradient condenser capsule. The MXL.006 connects directly to a computer via standard USB ports without external mic preamps. The microphone includes support for USB 1.1 and 2.0, as well as gain adjustment settings in its built-in three-position attenuation switch. The Auralex SonoSuede room treatment system is designed for professional and home recording studios. The system incorporates four 16- by 48-by 2-inch back-beveled panels for corner trapping, and eight 16- by 48-by 1-inch rectangular-shaped back-beveled panels, for a total of 64 square feet in the Pro model. JBL Professional's Control 1 Pro two-way loudspeaker features monitor-grade high- and low-frequency drivers. Solid State Logic's XLogic Alpha-Link MADI SX features 24-channel SSL-enhanced AD/DA converter circuitry. The MADI SX, which includes up to 64 channels of digital MADI I/O at 48 kHz or 32 channels at 96 kHz, incorporates 12 stereo AES/EBU digital I/O, 24 balanced analog I/O, and a TDM format expansion bus. QSC Audio Products has introduced the HPR122i multipurpose powered loudspeaker for nightclub, PA, and stage monitoring applications. The HPR122i can be pole-mounted using a stand socket, or flown with nine integral M10 suspension points. The HPR122i power module delivers 500 W, and operates between 53 Hz and 20 kHz. The loudspeaker incorporates a 12-inch low-frequency driver with a 3-inch voice coil and neodymium magnet structure. Avlex Corp.'s Superlux S241/U3 condenser microphone features a half-inch evaporated gold diaphragm, three-position attenuation pad switch, three-position low-cut filter switch, and 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. An HM-40 shock-mount clip, S-09 foam windscreen, and HM-43 anti-pop screen are included. The microphone features a gray finish and engraved brand name and markings. Price: $250.
